Gift Bag and Card Pack

Image
Seth bought me the Spring Holiday Card Cartridge for my Cricut a month or two ago and I finally opened it today! It had some super cute cards, bags and boxes on it so I decided to use one of them to make a small box for a card pack for a birthday gift. I used the Spring Holiday Card cartridge for the bag, the umbrella is from Life is a Beach and the sun is from H2O. The cards are from scraps in my stash! This is going to be a birthday gift for a good friend this week.  I was hoping to work on my own scrapbook this week, but we decided to head to Portland in a couple of weeks so I need to get 2 rag quilts done for my niece and nephew!

Random Cards of Kindness

For those who have followed my blog for awhile, well since January when I started it, you know that one of my New Year's Resolutions was to strengthen my friendships with more personal touches. Unfortunately in the day of e-mail and Facebook, remembering to send a birthday card, thank you card or just because hard gets lost.  I believe I have successfully hit all my friend's birthdays (for those who I socialize with regularly and have mailing addresses for) so far with handmade birthday cards (if I forgot you it is not because I don't care about you, it is just I was not organized enough this year but promise to do better next year). However, I have not been as good at sending out just because cards. I believe in the last 5 months I have sent out exactly one! That is about to change though. Today is June 3rd and every week now for the next 3 months I am going to send a card out to someone either just because, get well, thinking of you, thanks for being a good friend, etc.

Birthday Cards

One of my New Year's Resolution's was to send birthday cards in the mail to my friends.  I have sent many birthday cards the last five months and have gotten quite a few thank yous and it was so nice to get personal mail comments. I have spent today making more birthday cards for the month of June and wanted to share some of the one's I have sent over the past five months. I hope you can use them as inspiration to send birthday cards to your friends and family.
